The Caterham sky.
Lit up like never before.
The fireworks are the star of the show – expect a fully choreographed professional display designed to fill the Caterham sky, and a proper spine-tingler for all ages. It’s designed and fired by Pains Fireworks, an internationally recognised, fully regulated professional display team working alongside our experienced Round Table crew. Safety and spectacle, hand in hand.

GETTING HERE & PARKING
Planning your journey
No public parking on site – To keep pedestrian routes clear and safe, there is strictly no public parking at the venue. Please walk if you can, carpool with friends, or use public transport — a brisk autumn walk is all part of the fun.
Blue Badge parking – The rear car park is reserved strictly for Blue Badge holders. Please keep the school field entrance clear at all times for emergency access.
Safe, stewarded arrival – Lit pathways, stewarded entry points and clear signage will guide you in. We run a full Event Management Plan signed off with the local authorities.
Medical cover on site – Medical specialists will be on site throughout, with a clearly signed first aid point.

- Your ticket – saved to your phone with the QR code ready, or printed. Download it before you leave home; the mobile network gets busy at the gate.
- Warm layers & good footwear – it’s November and it can get a little muddy underfoot.
- Cash or card for the food stalls and licensed bar – our suppliers help us raise money too.
- Ear defenders for little ones or anyone sensitive to noise.

- Personal fireworks — not permitted under any circumstances.
- Sparklers — sorry, not on the school grounds.
- Outside alcohol — we’ve got a fully licensed bar waiting for you inside.
- Pets – sorry, no pets are allowed on site.

The Build-A-Guy Competition returns
We may not be lighting them this year, but the tradition lives on! Children and families of all ages are invited to build their own Guy and enter – a bit of creativity, a bit of Caterham history, and cash prizes up for grabs.

A new home, the same magic
This year brings a couple of big changes. Here’s the full picture of what’s new, and why it means an even better night out for Caterham.
New venue
We've moved to St Johns School
After more than 40 years at Dene Field, NHS Properties have changed their policies around events there, so the display can no longer be held at that location. To keep this tradition alive and in Caterham, the brilliant PTA at St Johns School stepped up to host us.
No bonfire
Bigger display, no bonfire
To protect the school’s sports fields so the kids can use them all year round, there won’t be a bonfire this year. Instead, every ounce of energy – and budget – is going into a bigger, bolder professional display.
Same mission
100% for local good causes
Caterham Round Table is run entirely by local volunteers. Every penny of profit goes straight back into charities and initiatives right here in our community. That hasn’t changed, and it never will.

Frequently asked questions
For over 40 years we loved hosting you at Dene Field, and we understand this is a big change. NHS Properties have changed their policies around the types of events that can be held there, which means the fireworks can no longer take place at that location. Rather than lose the event, we found it a new home — and the PTA at St Johns School very kindly agreed to partner with us to keep this tradition going and keep it in Caterham.
To protect our host school’s sports fields so the children can keep using them all year round, we’ve made the decision not to hold a bonfire. It’s unlikely to return in future — but it means we can put all of our energy and budget into an even bigger, more spectacular professional fireworks display. We’ll also keep grand old traditions like the Build-A-Guy competition going.
The event is at St Johns School, 38 Markfield Road, Caterham, CR3 6RP. There is strictly no public parking on site — this keeps pedestrian routes clear and everyone safe. We’d encourage you to enjoy a brisk autumn walk, carpool with friends, or use public transport.

Absolutely. Caterham Round Table is run entirely by local volunteers, and 100% of the profits go directly to supporting vital local charities and good causes right here in our community. In 2025 the event raised over £30,000.
To keep this a safe, family-friendly space, please don’t bring personal fireworks, sparklers or outside alcohol onto the school grounds. We’ve got you covered with a fully licensed bar and plenty of local food vendors inside.
Fireworks displays are loud, so we’d recommend bringing ear defenders for little ones or anyone sensitive to noise, and planning your evening accordingly.
Sorry, no pets are allowed on site.
Yes! We can’t set them alight this year, but we’re keeping the tradition alive so everyone of all ages can still get involved. Full entry details and prizes will be announced soon.
